Knowing and using tenses correctly is one of the most important bases for learning any language, tenses are about the time of doing an action by the doer, If you don’t know how to use the tenses you don’t know how to express the actions that happened or are happening at different times for example :
1. He is leaving the park, when I arrive. (when I arrive the park I saw him leaving the park)
2. He left the park, when I arrived. (when I arrived the park he left the park atonce)both of the actions happened at the same time
3. He had left the park, when I arrived (when I arrive the park he wasn’t there )In 1, 2 (I) meets (he) at the park but in the case of 3 (I) doesn’t meet (he)
If you want to learn English language acaadimicly you have to get the usages of the tenses here we explain the tenses and the uses;
1. (Present)
1.1 Present simple:
The form of the verb in present simple (I , We , You , They) read a book. but in the case of (he, she , it ) reads a book. ADD (S, ES) WHEN THERE IS ONE OF THE THIRD PERSON PRONOUN
This tense has some different uses :
- Daily routines : I wake up every morning at 7. She brushes her teeth after meals
- Facts: The sun rises in the east.
- Talking about future. The next semester b egins in March.
- In most cases the tense is the language of narration in Novels , Plays ……..
- Habits: sth you do repeatedly. She smokes. I always stay up late.
Statement:
They go to school at 8 am.
She visits her grandma every weekend.

Question form:
YES/NO question
Do (I, You, We, They)
Do you like painting? Yes, I do
Does (He, She, It)
Does she speak French ? No, she doesn’t
Wh-question :
Where do you go for your vacation?

How long does it take to fly from Iraq to Spain?
Why doesn’t she do the exam?
Negative form:
Do not (I, You, We, They) Does not (He, She, It)
Joe does not come to work today.
He doesn ‘t feel well.
We don’t have enough time to spend
They don’t care about us.
Adverbs of Frequency:
They are some adverbs which describ the repeatition of the acions

Present Simple Reported Speech:
She lives in a flat.==> He said (that) she lived in a flat.
We don’t go to the party ==> She said (that) they didn’t go to the party.
Present Simple Passive:
He wins three prizes ==> Three prizes are won
They buy a new fashionable blue car ==> a new fashionable blue car is bought
